My Plumber Heating & Cooling is Raising Awareness and Support during April Autism Awareness Month
In recognition of Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month, My Plumber Heating and Cooling is going the extra mile, to raise awareness and funding for autism research and support. My Plumber Heating and Cooling’s service vehicles are appropriately decorated with a famous puzzle piece design, with the idea that a portion of all profits earned, go directly to local organizations supporting the cause.
“We firmly believe that giving back to the community is just the right thing to do.” said Mark Presgrave, owner of My Plumber Heating and Cooling. “There is so much that can still be learned about Autism Spectrum Disorder. I was shocked to find out that every twenty-one minutes a child is diagnosed with autism. We hope that our campaign will help raise awareness and much needed funding for autism services, research and treatment.”
My Plumber Heating and Cooling is no stranger to community service. They regularly work with Boy Scouts of America, local schools and sports teams, and even bigger organizations such as the Wounded Warrior Project, and Shootout for Soldiers. Throughout the years, My Plumber Heating and Cooling has regularly held internal fundraisers for a variety of causes. Their Warm Hands and Full Hearts Food Drive and Food Drive Challenge has collected nearly 28 tons of food over the past four years. In an effort to raise awareness and funding for a variety of different causes, My Plumber Heating and Cooling is committed to the promotion of respected non-profit organizations whenever possible.
About Autism Spectrum Disorder
Autism Spectrum Disorder or ASD refers to a group of complex neurodevelopment disorders that are characterized by a variety of behavioral and social difficulties. Symptoms of ASD are present in early childhood and can severely affect daily functioning. ASD can be found in every racial and ethnic group and across all socioeconomic levels.
